More food

1st batch of mashed potatoes (a potato masher would have come in handy...ha!) But they were really good. I also roasted the garlic (in aluminum foil) along with the chicken. It was really good on the potatoes, but really garlicky!

1st chicken I've made besides drummies

Allen liked it a lot

Banana bread- take II (I doubled the recipe, can you tell?)

My Aunt Debbie gave me this book last week (she recently bought the new edition). I'm really excited to start using it! Thanks Debbie!

Aunt Gail's Visit

This weekend my dad's Aunt Gail, his cousin Roberta, and Roberta's daughter Liz came to visit from San Diego, CA. My dad hadn't seen Roberta since he was 18! And he had never met any of her children until now. Gail saw me when I was a baby but other than that I'd never met any of them. They stayed with my grandparents. We all got together at my Aunt Joanie and Uncle Gary's house. It was wonderful to finally meet them! My dad's Aunt Karen and Uncle Dick were there too so it was nice to see them again. The weather was gorgeous so we sat out on their deck. We had barbecue pork sandwiches and rhubarb peek-a-boo cake for dessert! Delicious.

Amy's cabin

My grandparents and I spent a night at my Aunt Amy's cabin in WI last week. The weather wasn't the greatest, but we still had a great time with our fabulous family... and food!

The first day Spencer, Grandpa, Jasper, and Ivy went golfing. Amy, Grandma, Violet, and I went on a walk and played games. That night we had corn on the cob and burgers hot off the grill! Dee-lish. The next morning we braved the chilly weather for a pontoon ride.

She helped me capture these pretty flowers.

Had to work hard for my meals up there...out choppin' wood.

On the ATV, pretending I'm from the Northwoods.

We rocked out while Grandma cringed.

She's a wild woman.

Crazy? Did somebody say crazy?
Thanks Amy and Spencer!
